Don't forget to tilt your head 90 degrees to the left before pressing play.
I'd also like to take this time to point out the Intersection Bar & Grille's kick-ass homemade Celtics curtains.

Pat's Burnt Situation/Flaming Musical Candles
Oh ladies, I think we've got a... situation here:
This photo really doesn't do Pat's sunburn justice. Also, thank god Pat's an innie, otherwise he'd be screwed.
In other news, here's a video of the greatest birthday candle ever made:

The Jackson 5 Gettin' Some Love in Stockholm
Random notes:
0:06 - That's totally the same dude that grabs the beer bottles out of my trash. (I wonder how many cans one has to return to buy such a fancy camera?)
0:14 - Note to Pat - See what I'm talking about?! Little kids are everywhere...
0:29 - BUBBLES!!!
0:45 - Way too much gyrating for those little kids in the front row. Don't make me film you from the belt up, Elvis style.
0:56 - Well played back up vocals guy!
1:02 - MORE BUBBLES!!!!!
Final thought: Why do all the bands I go to see cover Michael Jackson?

Observe THIS! Griffith
On the post-Coachella drive back to civilization we just wanted a public place in LA to hang out and kill some time before my buddy got home so that we could eventually meet up with him and take advantage of his indoor plumbing....
Instead we got this:
Also:
The Griffith Observatory wasn't easy to find either. Well it would have been if we followed the signs, but insted we adventured up a long, steep, windy road full of mansions.

Turns out the
H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D
sign is there too.
BONUS PHOTO:

On the (exponentially cleaner thanks to Siebert's shower) drive back to LAX we passed a giant donut.

Photos from the Desert
Between the intense heat and copious amounts of alcohol... these photos were the best I could do:
Sunset over the camp grounds...well technically polo grounds... In the foreground was the beginnings of a giant inflatable movie screen where they projected absurd late-night movies like Smokey & the Bandit
Check out the sweet Patriots decal on our Canadian neighbors trunk. Also that's Trygve on the right next to my awesome Mazda3 rental. It seems that Norwegians either have way too many vowels in their names or not quite enough. They also like bananas.

The gangs all here...

...and it being the last day of the festival, naturally we had to drink all the beers.
P.S. I will now forever refer to Pabst Blue Ribbons as "Peebers."

Oh yes, and all of the wine too. Apparently people from Calgary are not familiar with "Slap the Bag." Tragic frankly.

Irene's photo session with Lurch. Flea and Thom Yorke lie somewhere beyond the tallest man in the worlds upper torso.

LASER JAWS!!
We're gonna need a bigger boat.

And finally, remember kids:
Always wear sunscreen!

Things Gader photoed in DC
Sadly I was unable to document some of the more entertaining things like Keg's hairy arms or the awesomeness of energy drinks.
Instead here's a photo of some tasty hot sauce that has clearly spelled my name wrong:

View from the Newseum... still no idea what street that is, although I'm sure it's probably a pretty well-known/major one.

I Can't Podcast 55
While Pat tries to edit some of the video we have from Kate the Great Day, here are a couple of photos to tide you over.
Disclaimer: There are only so many photos one can take sitting shotgun in a JEEP Cherokee with a computer on their lap and a microphone in their hand...
Somewhere near Exit 58 and thus a Friendly's, McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts and Papa Gino's...
This is where the magic happens: One laptop running (the often troublesome) Audacity with a mic plugged into it. I brought the mixer, all the mics and even an AC to DC car cigarette lighter adapter but managed to forget the power source wire for the mixer... hence the back and forth with the single mic.

Apparently the truck had no comment.
Pat edited a lot of this photo-taking out of the podcast, but if I remember correctly there were like 6 of these trucks in a row...

...and naturally there was some kind of "ass plunder" joke.
(You might have to zoom in for that to make any sense)
Bonus Photo:

What blog post would be complete without hilarious puns and gratuitous product placement?

Scotch and Razor Blades
If Podcast 32 ever gets posted, these photos might make a little more sense:

Mad scientist set up at the Dewars scotch tasting.
They basically had a blend-it-yourself scotch lesson.

The tops of the test tubes read honey, fruity, floral, vanilla & smokey.
(Fruity was totally the one I couldn't think of during the podcast.)
And what scotch tasting wouldn't be complete without a razor blade mobile hanging from the ceiling:

...ENHANCE!

Vegas 2.0: The Infamous Bacon Waffle Tower
Now you see it:

Now you d... well, I tried my best...
Raising the white napkin of defeat:

Bonus Photos:

The Kokomo - Basically an entire loaf of bread stuffed with delectable meat, also in loaf form
Suggestive HH Bloody Mary garnish prompting my recent binge on jalapeno stuffed olives and gerkins
Do yourself a favor and check out Hash House A Go Go inside the Imperial Palace.

Laser-Assisted Sub-Epithelial Keratectomy
...aka they shot frickin' laser beams at my eyes after they loosened my cornea and shoved it aside
Which in the end resulted in hilarious photos with me looking unkempt and wearing hysterical, yet protective, eye wear.

In this photo I should either be down at the track betting on some ponies or trafficing large amounts of cocaine throughout Colombia.

There protective lenses are supposed to keep me from gouging my eyes out in my sleep... they also allow me to see dead people a la 13 Ghosts

This one's just silly.
And finally, here I am after Day 2, freaking out because I thought my eyes might be broken after seeing a giant left pupil and moderately sized right.

Vegas Ninjas
...sometime after 8am local time on Monday morning in Vegas after lots of booze, gambling, and other associated shenanigans

I've got a tumbler full of Jameson in my hand and I'm demanding to be conferenced in with Phil and the rest of Irene's co-workers as she tries to get some work done before lunchtime on the East Coast.
Tim has managed to latch on to some kind of foliage outside of a casino I can't remember somewhere on The Strip.........

Pedro O'Houlihan <3's U2
Here are a couple of photos from the U2 show in Vegas. Put on some Achtung Baby real low in the background, stream the Vegas Part 2 Podcast, and pretend that you were there.

Bono, moments before abducting a small adolescent boy from the crowd....
..and there here goes.

It's cool though, he handed the kid his shades Bret the Hitman Hart style

Some douche-bag ruining Pedro's sweet Bono money-shot

Despite being fairly indifferent towards U2's music, I was pretty impressed by their spaceship looking, expandable hexagonal video screen stage set up deal they had going on. Pretty intense.
(Also pictured: The Edge..mostly for scale... I bet Pedro can give you his exact height and weight)

Adventures in Drunk Gambling
Podcast Part I of the Gader Goes to Vegas saga should be posted soon. Here's a little photo montage of what's to come.

Half of a pastrami sandwich from the Carnegie Deli... the thing was the size of my head with unlimited mustard and 3 whole pickles. Of course I ate the whole thing.
Two questions: Why bother with the bread? and Are Jews really willing to drop $20 on just a sandwich?

What Tfo refers to as the "Big Boy Chips"... well technically he calls the $25s that... all care of Black 23, Mario Johnsons, and Buddy Greco.

Lion at the MGM Grand...
If you look closely you'll notice the lion chilling out above the little walkway thing and then his two "handlers" inside the pen, clearly ready for anything.
The dude on the right is actually texting someone.

Just a little pre-gaming at O'Sheas with family and friends.

Is that thing regulation or what?!
I know, I know...it's been a while since we've posted on the blog. If I didn't have to be up for work in 4 hours I'd definitely indulge you all with pictures of the legendary toilet setup at the Sweetwater Cafe... next time.
Instead I leave you with this:

If you weren't aware, it's MOVEMBER!!! (a.k.a. No Shave November) So grow out that beard and when the time comes, carve yourself a fine mustache...it's for a good cause. If you want to send any donations my way, the email address is at the top of the page. Facial hair is fun.

For Those About to PodCast.....

It all started with this:
One Bell & Howell 406 B tape recorder, the Educator Series with automatic tape stop... that may or may not have belonged to the Scituate school district at one time or another.
Mix in four jackasses, free tickets to AC/DC at Gillette Stadium, plenty of booze, and you've got yourself a podcast. Well actually, subtract the booze, add a 90 minute long car ride and we might have some poor quality audio to share at a later date.
For now, here's some random photos:

Pat clearly enjoying our company as we all tailgate in the parking lot while sipping on some delicious PBR and reading from the Satanic Bible... not to mention blocking all of us from the beer supply and rubbing his musk all over the back of Phil's car

View of the AC/DC stage from our seats
IN FRIGGIN OUTER SPACE....
ok, so for what we paid, they're pretty damn good, but the 2 second delay was a bit tough to deal with

I'll leave you with this last photo... keep in mind that that bottle of Evan Williams and the cooler behind it were full before the show started....

Perhaps one of these days I'll let you (and Pat) in on what went down... Stay Tuned
